Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home which has a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence money will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded my nsfas to supply the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or plan to research at a general public nsfas status check university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to nsfas login study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
